Paul Keats has been a part of the "Live" music scene around Melbourne over the past 20 years. His music career began in High School at the age of 15. A year later, after playing several community fundraisers in the school gym, his first band decided to embark on their maiden tour… commencing in Ringwood. Okay, so the tour wound up that night when the venue discovered they were "underage" … but the band would never forget it!

Over the next few years, Paul found himself in a few different cover bands around Melbourne playing music ranging from ACDC, Dire Staits, Guns'N'Roses through to Top 10 Hits. Enjoyable as it was, he took a well earned break (for several years).

Bursting back onto the local music scene he formed a duo with Tim Manger on keyboards (who later joined Magnet). They played at private functions around Melbourne performing classic versions of some Australian Rock favourites.

Several years later saw Paul and Tim reunite again when Paul became the resident guitarist with top Melbourne Wedding and Corporate Band, Magnet. Whilst playing in venues as a soloist, Paul had earned a reputaion as an "on-call" session muso for bands such as Magnet.

In 2004, Paul formed GuitarFX and began teaching guitar. Later that year he developed the entertainment side of GuitarFX to offer Corporate Entertainment, Wedding Ceremony Entertainment and Wedding Reception Entertainment.
